Our purpose
BagFit EU helps travellers answer whether one packed bag falls within a selected airline and fare allowance. It is an independent information service and does not sell flights or make airline decisions.
Source method
Each published allowance must have an official airline source, a verification date and a clear distinction between the free personal item and any additional overhead entitlement. We do not silently combine numbers from third-party comparison sites.
Calculation method
The checker sorts the three bag dimensions and the three permitted dimensions from smallest to largest, then compares each pair. This tests all physical orientations automatically. A result passes only if all three dimensions fit and any stated maximum weight is respected.
What the checker cannot know
- Whether an overfilled soft bag can be compressed into a sizer.
- Whether an aircraft, route, codeshare or operational restriction changes carriage.
- Whether a gate agent will measure a specific bag.
- Fees, which can vary by route, booking time, currency and sales channel.
Updates and corrections
Policy records show their last verification date. Rules should be rechecked regularly and immediately after an airline announces a change. If an official source and our summary differ, the official source controls.
